Volunteer's Role and Tasks:
Volunteers will work as English teachers, preparing lessons or organising English camps in collaboration with the teacher at the school.
Creative teaching methods—such as non-formal education tools—can be used to foster engaging learning experiences. While a teaching certificate is not required, volunteers are expected to be creative in their approach. The aim of creative teaching is to provide students in the school and local community with the opportunity to communicate in different languages and learn about diverse cultures.
Volunteers will use non-formal education tools to create activities that focus on intercultural exchange and language learning. These activities may include games, songs, storytelling, and dancing. The focus should be on communication skills, particularly listening and speaking.
After-School Activities:
As students reside at the school dormitory, they participate in extra-curricular activities after school. Volunteers can join these activities to build closer relationships with the students. This is a great opportunity to engage in cultural exchange while participating in activities such as organic farming, handicrafts, and learning about organic products.
Additionally, volunteers are encouraged to create a national club (e.g., a German club, Korean club) to facilitate language and cultural exchange with the students.
